Blame it on the Boys

This book is a MUST have! I just so happened to snag every last one up from Urban Outfitters because it was on sale for $1.90 So that means all my girlfriends are getting a copy!

Book Review: It's amazing how the book breaks down every excuse in the world almost and sums it up into one mantra. "he's just not that into you" No compromising and making excuses for poo dates and forgotten calls. I have officially been schooled in the league of dating.

No, I haven't seen the movie but this book hails as my relationship bible. Every girl should own it. Check out your local URBN for more copies its only $1.90.

By the way I love MIKA! This song has been in my head all week! MIKA - Blame It On The Girls by UniversalMusicGroup Have a great weekend!

  2. oopps I mean where did u get it?

  3. although i havent dated a guy in years.. this does sound interesting :]

  4. I guess I'll speak up as the male spokesperson here. "Why," you ask, "Does a guy call me up, and then all of a sudden, he's too busy for me?" Or he stops calling altogether, or whatever other questions you can think of. The answer, believe it or not, sums up into one word: SELFISHNESS. Now, let's be honest, there's always exceptions to the rules. But, for the most part, the guy's "needs" are not satisfied (needs are in quotes, because we're stupid and have no clue what we really need...it's all about what we want), or she's not what he expected, or whatever. I think that the general male population will be sadly surprised, in the long run. Through generations of chasing after that perfect piece o' tail, he'll finally settle for what he can get. Then, he'll wake up next to her at age eighty (or younger) and realize, "Damn, there was nothing there but looks," and realize that, excuse the term, he's lyin' next to a bitch.
To sum up what I'm trying to say is, "He's just not that into you," is a cop out. I have not read the book or seen the movie, but I will say, quit looking for guys who are gonna satisfy everything on your to do list. Stick with the important needs, and the wants will fall in line. Mainly, look for somebody who loves and cares for you, and who will treat you with respect and support you in your goals and necessities. I can't tell you how many songs or poems I've written personally about this stuff...we never learn. In starting my own label and seeing tons of different artists roll through, we all have one thing in common: everybody's been burned. Keep your hopes up and look for the guy holding the door open for you. Look for the guy who's gonna walk on the outside of the sidewalk, so you don't get hit by a car. Look for the guy who's gonna stand up everytime you enter/exit the room. They exist, and their example needs to be followed. Our ladies need to be respected and shown that they're respected. Now, off of my soapbox...I think I need a beer.

    Power to the People,
