I brought it to work to share with the co-workers who loved it! I like cooking...when I'm not tired! I might suggest adding a bit more seasoning to the sauce perhaps salt...even cayenne pepper

I feel like my Nubian alter-ego Desta wants to come out to play. I wrapped my hair turban like by mistake. I was deep condish-ing today and needed to go out in public so I threw the circle scarf over the cholesterol cap and now I'm finished but I just like the way it looks....(all regal and ish) And the band below totally matches my psychedelic mood right now.

It was literally one of the most psychedelic experiences that I have ever experienced! The music enveloped me and sent me on a journey of cosmic fixation. Watch them. Love them.

blah blah blah hair pt. 2

Truth be told I forgot about the rest of the post so here is my reluctant part 2. I co-wash pretty much daily. I'm currently using Mane and Tail Herbal Gro conditioner as my co-wash. I think I like the original better because you can use it as a leave-in. On some lazy days I would just wet my hair and slather it in. For now, I'm going to finish the rest of the Herbal Gro version and see where I go from there.


Beauty Supply Store Haul. I needed a new conditioning cap for my deep conditioner days. As I mentioned before, I am out of Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayo which normally runs you about $10. I found some Elasta QP Deep Conditioner for $6.50 It doesn't contain the pesky Lauryl-Sulfate chemical that ORS Hair Mayo has. The smell is a bit overwhelming as if I'm opening a jar of gummy bears but it might do the trick.



I absolutely love these knit net-bonnets. I found them in Houston with my natural lady in crime a la Ashley at a Beauty Supply Store. They're only $1.99 but it keeps me stress-free on my "i don't care what i look like" days. I found a bunch more out here so I splurged on a few more colors. Love these things!

...because you asked for it. I'm not big on Regimens but I do enjoy washing my hair daily! Especially on deep conditioner day!

Alright, I loved the Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave in. Only issue is the bottle is too tiny! It's for long hair and you put it in the tiniest bottle imaginable?! Herbal Essences has another leave-in that I am looking forward to trying next called, "None of Your Frizziness"-sampled it and like what I felt.


Garnier Fructis Leave-in- I got this as a recomendation from a forum. Initially I didn't like it as much as Long Term Relationship but I'm currently using it as my leave-in and it's pretty nice to my curls.


Elasta QP- I bought this because it was only $2.99 at Sally's and sometimes I'm in a rush and can't efficiently co-wash so my hair needs to get moisture somehow.

I usually deep condition with this stuff about once a week. My texture typically is softer after application and the stretch I get with this conditioner is an added bonus. I'm out of my second jar...Le sigh

Now on to my Original Fragrance shop products. I early raved about the Whipped Shea butter but I'm out so I use the hair butter and Hair Elixer to seal my ends when I feel like it.


I'm not even regularly taking my Biotin vitamins. I don't even remember the last time I took it. I now take Jolly Rancher Sour Gummy vitamins...which coincidentally has biotin in it. I only got them for taste.


I'm no longer big on my hair so much as I was when I first realized its natural beauty. Maybe it's because I get so many questions on my hair in real life that I'm a bit burned out about it. I guess I've fallen into the "eh" stage of being natural.

I traveled to the South for the Essence Music Festival this past 4th of July weekend. It was nice and nostalgic seeing things in Louisiana after not being there for over 1 year. I love how rustic things are in the South and the food is always 10 times better.

Stayed at the Le Pavillion hotel which is rumored to be haunted...I didn't see any ghosts, the only thing I'm afraid of is zombies from the Thriller video.

Visiting Cracker Barrel would be the highlight of my trip. Their mac and cheese is ridiculous!
